CommonSpirit Health has announced the naming of CEOs for its five hospitals in Utah. Earlier this year, Chicago-based CommonSpirit acquired Davis Hospital and Medical Center in Layton, Jordan Valley Medical Center in West Jordan, Jordan Valley Medical Center-West Valley Campus, Mountain Point Medical Center in Lehi and Salt Lake Regional Medical Center in Salt Lake City from the Steward Medical Group. CommonSpirit renamed the facilities with its Holy Cross Hospital brand and has now appointed leaders for the hospitals.
Kevin Jenkins has been named market CEO for Utah and CEO of{mprestriction ids="1,3"} Holy Cross Hospital-Salt Lake. He joined the CommonSpirit ministries in 2008 and has been a part of the effort to name the other hospital CEOs.
Michael Jensen will continue in his position as CEO of Holy Cross Hospital-Davis, a role he has had for 22 years. Christine McSweeney, a 25-year veteran in healthcare, will lead Holy Cross Hospital–Jordan Valley. She joined CommonSpirit in 2019 and was most recently in operational leadership positions in the Colorado market, including at St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood.
Angie Simonson becomes CEO of Holy Cross Hospital-Jordan Valley West after serving as CEO at St. Thomas More Hospital in Cañon City, Colorado. She has been with CommonSpirit for 11 years. Chris Stines, most recently the vice president of service lines for the Colorado/Kansas/Utah Division of CommonSpirit, becomes the CEO of Holy Cross Hospital-Mountain Point.
