Work has begun on the first phase of Downtown Daybreak in South Jordan, Larry H. Miller Real Estate said in a release. Preparatory work is underway on the urban center that will be a walkable, bikeable and transit-connected regional hub in the Southwest Quadrant of Salt Lake County. Phase 1 will include a minor-league baseball stadium where the Salt Lake Bees will relocate for the 2025 season.

Downtown Daybreak is part of a plan that originated over 20 years ago between the city of South Jordan and the original landowners, Rio Tinto Kennecott, and continues today with Larry H. Miller Real Estate.

Downtown Daybreak will be built using a phased approach over the next 15-plus years.

The location of Phase 1 will be between Mountain View Corridor and Grandville Avenue/Lake Avenue and Big Sur Drive.{/mprestriction}
