Salt Lake City law firm Snow Christensen & Martineau (SMC) has announced that Camille Johnson has been appointed president of the firm.

“Camille has been a superstar from her first day at SCM,” said Sam Alba, SCM’s chairman of the board. “She is deeply respected throughout the firm for her intellect, wisdom and sense of fairness. She is the right leader at the right time for our firm.” 

In addition to her role overseeing the strategic direction, governance and oversight of the firm’s day-to-day operations, she will support and mentor the firm’s attorneys, Alba said.

Johnson brings 31 years of extensive employment experience to her role. She proactively counsels and educates business clients and public employers regarding risk management initiatives and strategies that prevent or minimize employment claims. She serves as both advisor and litigator, having had extensive experience defending clients in employment litigation. She also assists clients in mediation, arbitration and administrative hearings. Johnson has a significant and varied litigation and trial practice which includes the defense of leading pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturers in mass tort and coordinated litigation.

Johnson is a Fellow of the Litigation Counsel of America and member of the International Association of Defense Counsel.
