Sportsman’s Warehouse Hold-ings Inc. of Sandy has agreed to buy eight Field & Stream stores from Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc. The acquired stores will be operated as Sportsman’s Warehouse stores and are located in Pennsylvania, New York, North Carolina and Michigan. The total purchase price of $28 million for inventory and assets will be funded through borrowings under Sportsman’s revolving credit facility, the company said. Sportsman’s Warehouse owns and operates 95 outdoor sporting goods stores in 25 states. Founded in 1986, the company employed 5,100 prior to its latest acquisition.
