Jeff Olpin
Kimpton Monaco Salt Lake City announces the hire of Jeffrey Olpin as its new general manager. Olpin brings 20 years of award-winning industry experience to the Monaco, with his most recent role serving as the Chief Operations Officer for Sequoia hospitality where he launched best-in-class employee and guest relations programs and led key operational strategies for the brand. Olpin is a familiar face to the downtown Kimpton property as he previously held the hotel manager position from 2006-2008. With a background reminiscent of a true hotelier, Olpin’s rich industry experience extends across every department including property leadership, sales, marketing, operations and food and beverage. In each of these positions Olpin has exceeded sales goals, received copious industry awards and championed career growth opportunities for his employees. As a longtime resident of Salt Lake City, Olpin also takes pride in serving his local community through his work with Visit Salt Lake, Salt Lake Chamber of Commerce among other local organizations. As a passionate leader who excels in building a culture of care among his team, Olpin looks forward to finding new ways to heighten both the guest and employee experience at the Monaco. In his free time, Olpin enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, gardening, cooking and traveling.
