PARK CITY, UTAH- October 29, 2024- The St. Regis Deer Valley, considered one of the most luxurious mountain Resorts in the world, today announced the appointment of Ms. Shawnda Brooks as Director of Spa. Director of Spa Brooks brings a wealth of experience in spa, wellness, health and beauty to her position. A Forbes-trained hospitality professional, Ms. Brooks was promoted from within the Spa at The St. Regis Deer Valley, where she served as Spa Manager. Brooks brings a background in luxury resorts and spas, an ability to foster a culture of excellence and service as well as extensive knowledge of all treatments, services and exceptional skin care products. The Spa continues partnerships with renowned skincare brands including Sothys Paris, Biologique Recherche and is soon to add Utah’s own Acrely Farms CBD and Crystal Tones Alchemy Sound Bowls to create a deeply restorative and meditative experience. Recovery boots will be introduced for the winter season and treatments will be lengthened from 50 minutes to 60 minutes and from 80 minutes to 90 minutes. Prior to joining The St. Regis Deer Valley, Brooks was Spa Manager/ Beauty at Canyon Ranch in Lenox, Massachusettes where she managed a talented and tenured team of beauty professionals. Before Canyon Ranch, Brooks was General Manager at the Exhale Spa in Miami Beach, Florida. Brooks was also a National Trainer and Beauty Advisor of Sothys USA, training Spa Therapists on facial and body treatment protocols designed by Sothys Paris. Brooks, who served in the United States Army as a Communication Service Specialist with the rank Specialist P, was awarded the Army Achievement Medal and National Defense Commendation. Brooks earned an MS in Hospitality Management at Florida International University, Miami; and a BS in Mass Communication from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor in Belton, Texas. Brooks is also a licensed esthetician and massage therapist.
