Lance Shields
SALT LAKE CITY – HKS Architects, Inc., ranked third in the nation by Building Design + Construction’s 2022 Top 160 Architecture Firms list, recently promoted Lance Shields, AIA, CDT, LSSYB, LEED AP in the Salt Lake City office to Principal. Lance joined HKS in 2006 and most recently served as a Vice President. With more than 25 years of industry experience, he has served as project manager, project architect and construction administrator. Lance works in the Performance Venues studio, and has experience working with all project types, most notably education, hospitality and commercial projects. Lance is currently overseeing the construction of the Music Building at BYU and the 40-story Astra Tower, slated to be the tallest building in the State of Utah. “Our firm’s values are based on relationships, character and purpose.
