Alianza, a Pleasant Grove-based company providing a communications platform built for service providers, has announced that Scott Wharton has joined its board of directors. Wharton has over 25 years of experience in communications technology companies. He serves as vice president and general manager of the Video Collaboration Group at Logitech. Prior to Logitech, Wharton founded Vidtel, a pioneer in cloud-based video conferencing services. He also was an executive at BroadSoft and VocalTel.
